Point72, the American asset management firm led by billionaire Steven A. Cohen, is evolving — and hiring.
With over $24.2 billion under management, the 1,800-person hedge fund is rapidly weaving tech into the fabric of its operation. By 2024, the company is slated to become a cloud-first firm, Mark Brubaker, Point72 chief technology officer, previously told Insider.
In response, the company is looking to hire across 2022, and currently has over 200 open roles on its career page, many of which offer salaries into the low six-figures.
The hiring push comes as Point72 is re-architecting its entire tech stack; building out a team of at least 60 cloud engineers, infrastructure coders, and application developers; and solidifying a hybrid, multi-cloud strategy, as Brubaker previously told Insider.
Using federally disclosed data on Point72’s 2021 H-1B visa holders, Insider was able to determine the salary of employees holding the same job titles as those listed on the company’s careers page.
While these salaries are based solely on foreign workers employed in the US, the data can still provide insight to all job seekers looking to make a competitive wage. (To research more roles or companies, job seekers can explore Insider’s salary database.)
