HYDERABAD: As a first step to issue job notifications, the state finance department on Wednesday gave permission to fill 30,453 posts in various departments.
This will pave the way for respective recruitment agencies and boards aligned with different departments, including the Telangana State Public Services Commission (TSPSC), to issue a notification with eligibility criteria and exam dates.
The state plans to fill 503 Group-1 posts, 154 posts in prisons and correctional services and 45 assistant professor jobs in NIMS. In a relief for many waiting for teaching posts, the state government has given permission for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).
A major chunk of the 30,453 posts go to the health department (10,028). In addition to this, 2,662 posts in the same department will be recruited through TSPSC for various department heads and health and medical welfare institutions.
The government also issued orders for filling up 231 vaccines in the DGP office and two posts in special protection forces.
Orders were also issued to recruit 149 vaccines in transport commissioner’s office for Group-1 posts and 63 posts in various categories in the same department.
Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had recently announced that 80,039 government vaccines will be filled and had directed finance minister T Harish Rao and department officials to ensure that financial clearances are given immediately. Following this, finance minister Harish Rao, chief secretary Somesh Kumar, ministers Srinivas Goud and Sabita Indra Reddy held meetings to finalise the recruitment process for 30,453 posts in the first instalment.
